Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Tender collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

What we collect

Email address — used to create and identify your account, and to send account-related messages such as email confirmation and password reset.
Password — stored as a salted hash. We never store your password in plain text.
GPS coordinates — only when you create an outdoor timer. Coordinates are sent anonymously to WeatherAPI.com to fetch local weather data. They are stored in our database to display your timer details to you in the app.
Temperature unit preference — Celsius or Fahrenheit, stored per account.
Timer data — timer names, animal type, aging environment and progress. This is the core data the app manages on your behalf.

We do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or any data beyond what is listed above.

How we use it

We use your data to operate the Tender service:

Authenticating your account
Fetching weather data for outdoor timers
Sending transactional emails (confirmation, password reset) and an alert in case of a temperature above the recommended limit
Displaying your timers within the app
Analyzing aggregated usage patterns internally to understand how the app is used and guide product development. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving the service. No data is shared with third parties for this purpose.

Third-party services

WeatherAPI.com — When you create an outdoor timer, the GPS coordinates of your chosen location are sent to WeatherAPI.com to retrieve local weather data. No account information, email address, or any other identifying data is included in this request. From WeatherAPI's perspective it is an anonymous coordinate lookup. See their privacy policy.

Data retention

Your account data (email, timers, coordinates) is retained for as long as your account exists. Completed timers remain in your history until you delete your account.

Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@dryage.app. We will process your request within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Access to your account requires authentication tokens with short expiry windows. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.

Children

Tender is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
